I like Launcher Pro and it has a good look and functionality. I must say though. i went back to the Samsung launcher recently and it seems more stable, I have far less issues with the mail app. Has anyone else noticed this?

What issues are you having with the mail app? I'm not sure if a launcher can cause specific apps to malfunction.

It would hang and then crash. Just crashed now, i guess launcher pro isn't the issue. Gonna have to look into another mail app, this one is so buggy slow.

I'm not sure about the mail client you are using but I do have Launcher Pro Plus and my e-mail is through Gmail. With this combo I have never encountered an issue. I have heard of some people have issues with outlook and yahoo on the Captivate but those didn't seem to be Launcher Pro exclusive. What is your current E-mail app?

No, I have not noticed this. The standard stock launcher (aka "Touchwiz" aka "twlauncher") is too lacking in features for me to ever go back to it. LauncherPro is far easier to use and configure, and provides tons more additional features, some I consider "critical". I've had no problems with it and have been using it for months.

I really like launcher pro, just seemed like I had a few more issues with it. May just be a coincidence.

I'm using the built in mail app with a gmail and active synch account.

Try swapping out the built in E-mail app with the G-mail app. Being as you use G-mail this should not be an issue. Like I said earlier, this is my combo of choice and I have never had it crash.

I installed the Gingerbread launcher last night. I can't really tell any difference for the most part to tell ya the truth.

Have you sent an email to author about it? It seems like he works on it 24 hours a day based on how often releases come out.
