launcher question

So I can't stand the stock lg home launcher. It's super slow. It's like I am using a giant optimus-M
so last night I put my xperia arc on my esteem and it was sooo smooth, no lagging what so ever.
It also has effects. When I drag a widget around, it jiggles slightly.of course, nothing works on it, every bottom FC's. Oh and when the app drawer is opened all the app widgets jiggle around.
so anyway, for the veteran themes out there, how hard would it be to use my xperia arc launcher on my esteem? I'll do all the work, I just want to know if it's possible before I start an impossible endeavor.

Ok yes that was a dumb one. It's called SonyEriccson home.apk
I am guessing that isn't a launcher, anyway, how hard would it be for me to use it on my esteem. I am talking about totally replacing the lg home with the Sony one.

which one are u talking about theres two of them?

if it the newest one you need to place that launcher in your system/apps using root explore once you paste it up need to changed the permission too.

we do have the launcher from the xperia play somewhere in the esteem forums but i cant seem to find it right now.

and the link is valid. i just downloaded it but it wanted me to overwrite my xperia play launcher so i didnt install it. give it a try

Nope, none of those are it. The one I have is below. Everything about it works, except I get a force close when I long press on the home screen to add a widget, and the tiny sort arrow in the app drawer force closes as well. Any suggestions?

Cool, now what system file does the meta-info go in, I am having a brain fart.

That didn't work, so the SonyEriccson home.apk installs and everything works correctly except the widgetpicker.apk is there something I need to add to the system?
I am pretty new at this so thanks for the help.

This is all too confusing. I just went with LDK. Looks awesome.
