Unfortunalety ..the launcher has stopped working ..

I get this error again and and again with a just OK option to press ..which i do nt but after some time this error comes again
I have not downloaded any launcher application or so..
Launcher version 4.0.4
..can any1 please help me ..?? Tried restarting the phone but doesnt work :(

Try turning off the phone, pull out the battery for 30 seconds, replace and restart. If still no joy you could install a new launcher like Nova or Apex.
 
when i go to play store to download some app..i get the error of the procees.com.google.process.gapps has stopped working..

how to download the new launcher??
 
When you press "home", do you get a choice of which launcher/home to use? What phone are you using by the way?
 
yes i am getting tht option.. i choose the nova launcher..
and using karbonn a15 phone :)

i am not getting the launcher error now..but when i choose the inbuilt launcher i get tht error again.. can i repair this thing too ??
 
I honestly dont know whats causing the stock launcher error sorry but Nova is VERY good.
I think it has an option to "import" the layout of your in-built launcher so it will have the same widgets, apps etc as the other launcher was
The setting should be in Menu, Nova Settings, Backup And Import, Import
 
when i try clearing it thru setting>app>all>launcher
then i dnt get the clear cache option.(it is disable..cant click on it)
how can i clear the cache ??
 
Yeah thats why Clear Cache is greyed out, its already clear.
I think if you wana use the stock launcher then as El Presidente says, youll have to factory reset. You should give Nova a try though
 
Getting errors like you are seeing sounds to me like something is going on that is affecting the entire phone. Although installing Nova may put a bandage on the problem, I would really want to fix the problem. A Factory Reset would probably take care of your problems. After that, then use Nova because it is a good launcher.

I cant remember how raw android is set out but look in Settings, Backup And Reset... or it might be in Storage.
Remember though that factory reset wipes everything on the phone, apps, pics etc.. anything that isnt on the memory card :thumbup:
