LauncherPro Beta

Update to LauncherPro came out today, you can now have 15 apps in the bottom dock.

Hmmm... I question the value of 15 apps in the dock. Don't get me wrong I love the dock because those apps are always just 'there'. But if I'm going to have to scroll to get to an app, it might as well be on a different home page, rather than 'downstream' in the dock.

Agreed, I think at the max maybe 10, that would be ideal (at least for me).

ADW.launcher is better imo it's like launcher pro on crack.

I used to think that to when I switched to ADW from Launcher Pro a few days before LP got custom dock apps. However, since the latest version of LP, I'm starting to think it's now the other way around. One of the best features of ADW in my eyes was the dock where I could store some extra apps. However, with the latest LP version, not only can you add an additional *10* apps to a new, extended dock. But you can also move the app launcher icon to anywhere on said dock and use custom icons for whichever app you want to add.

I would definitely give LP a try.

If ADW Launcher gets a 3-D app drawer with the transparent alpha setting, I will switch back in a heartbeat

I know stupid question, cant find setting to change to 3D app drawer.....??

I'm pretty sure I can top your stupid question. :)
I've turned on the 3d app drawer, but don't actually see what it DOES. What am I missing - what am I looking for?

Yup you topped it
If you click on the bow icon on the bottom of your screen it will have your app drawer in a 3D effect

I love LP. I downloaded it about a week ago, and am not looking back. I liked the 3D app drawer, but turned it off to keep speed up. Only problem I have, not really a prob, is that all the things I have done, will close via the back arrow button. Except messaging. It will go from last conversation, to the main messaging thing, and back to last conversation. Might be a problem with stock messaging client, but I didn't care for handcent and it's copying of iphone chat, since I despise my old phone, and want nothing to do with it anymore... maybe I will download handcent and try it that way, but other than that, love the hell out of this launcher! Also, don't care for the widgets from sense, since the only one I used is better in Beautiful Widgets, with the smaller home option, taking only 1x4 for the clock/weather/date thing. Awesome!

is there a spot to control the mobile network toggle on the switchpro app, or do I have to manually do that everytime??

I know this is off topic, but I figured I would answer it. Switchpro did update a little while back, and it has new settings / toggles. You can toggle data on and off now. They added a few others too. Works great!!

LP is pretty slick, and I love the dock at the bottom and the 3d app drawer... but after a few days I've gone back to Sense, mainly for the widgets. I use the Calendar, People, and Bookmarks widgets all the time, and thought I found a decent replacement for Calendar (Android Agenda), I didn't find good replacements for the other two... but I'm keeping LP installed and my mind open...

I bought Pure Grid Calendar Widget, it looks way better than the HTC calendar widget because you can use different skins. For the bookmarks, I just put the shortcuts of them on a screen.

I looked at a lot of the calendar widgets, but since I use the agenda-style widget, HTC's scrolling widget still seems the best to me. I guess the only reason I don't like putting shortcuts on the screen is the lack of a logo for the bookmarks... they end up kind of ugly there, and I'm too lazy to make my own logos for each of them.

What exactly does the setting "Minimum scrolling speed" do? I changed it to 0, then 100 and I see no difference when scrolling through homescreens.
