Help LauncherPro errors and question

Every time I change a setting in launcher pro, I get an error and it shuts down. Any way to fix this? I'm unrooted right now -- can't decide if I should Root or not.

Also, does LauncherPro drain my battery any quicker than usual?

I'd suggest uninstalling LauncherPro and then reinstalling and see if that helps. You might also want to give ADWLauncher EX a try . . . I've found it to be much more stable than LauncherPro and offers a lot of easy customization. ADW also uses a lot less battery on my Captivate.

tried the re-install. getting the same error. I actually may try rooting and installing a different ROM, pending how much time I want to dedicate to this...

when yo reflash, dont carry over system settings

how do ensure that I don't carry over the system settings? is that the only thing I should be worried about?
