When you go to update launcherpro today, check out the release notes on the devs page. Apparently, there is now a paid version of launcherpro dubbed Launcherpro Plus, I know it mentioned having some built-in sense ui-ish apps/widgets including the people app. I think the upgrade was 3$ and isn't in the market yet, look into it though.

LauncherPro has deserved a pay/donate option for quite a while already. The perks of this version are just icing on the Froyo!

Lol the dev has definitely earned something for this, and Richard, it is the best home replacement/launcher by far.

Instead of using sense ui, you can get a whole different look and feel from you homescreens. It's fully customizable, and free, just try it out.

He can't put the pay version up in the market due to living in a country that doesn't allow paid apps.
Go to Launcherpro.com and pay through the site. It'll direct you to the download for the apk.

You don't open it. After installing, press your Home button, you will be given a choice between HTC Sense and Launcher Pro.

I paid but was not able to download the file because I didnt have proper credentials. What do I do now as I cant go back to that screen without paying again?

LauncherPro does look interesting. I'm one of those that really likes SenseUI, and the People widget looks similar to the one in Sense. The only issue I see with it is that as of now it doesn't sync the pictures from facebook. I use that feature quite a bit so I don't have to take pictures of everyone for callerid. I'm planning to play with Froyo soon though, and Sense doesn't work with it yet. This may be a good replacement until the devs get Sense working.

Yes, and you miss out on all the nice Sense Widgets, of which I use several

LauncherPro does look good, though. If I go to a non-Sense phone (pun intended) I will most certainly use LauncherPro.

I haven't paid for it but I know the people widget is available even in the free version.

Really? Beta acts like it has it until the final step and it says only available in paid version. Unless I am missing something
