Root Launchers

I recently started messing with multiple launchers and have found so many fun aspects within all of them. Regina and ADW (free) are both awesome, speed things up, very customizable. Regina has a flip clock that actually works, ADW has neat Trays for the bottom scree. Some even have callibrate horizontally on your Desktop screens or you can set it so it stays in portrait. I just thought i'd mention this because as an Android user, I obviously like alot of the phones and these launchers have given me parts of other types of launchers. You can bring components from other phones to yours! So if you haven't tried yet, maybe give it a shot! I'd say try one of the two I mentioned, or both

There are definitely a lot of threads out there about launchers, but anyways, I use LauncherPro Plus (I used the non-paid for version first though) and it is a great launcher! I used it to completely customize every aspect of my phone. From multiple home screens, to the swiping action of the bottom icons (which I could scroll for 2 other sets of icons). After I was done fiddling with the phone for about two days, I had a version of my phone that was completely unrecognizable, but so much easier to use.

The one thing I wish they did add was a lock screen section. But that was quickly taken care of with the use of WidgetLocker.

I definitely love the level of customization you can do with these launchers though. The stock was nice... for about 2 months, but with the tens of launchers out there, you can make the phone completely yours. Even after rooting my Captivate to Serendipity 6.4, I got LauncherPro Plus back to change it up again.

im glad you agree. yea im sure there's alot of threads already, but in my haste i was excited to share my fun experience. I like Live Home alot as a free launcher. I was getting ready to flash this thing, but these launchers and gingerbread should be fun enough!

+1 for widget locker.....I love this app, it gives me total customizing control of how I want my lock screen to look....as far as launchers I LOVE ADW EX launcher. When I first got my Captivate I tried ADW free version and thought it was pretty cool. I then decided to take the plunge and purchase the Ex version and let me tell you..WOW! Launchers are truely awesome, as you had mentioned earlier, they do let you customize your phone to how "YOU" want it. Touchwiz is fair, but I think I will stick with Launchers
