Lazy Rootbox request

Hi folks. was on rootbox for a bit, was a lovely rom and fab features, but 1 too many features just didnt quite work.

anyway, the notification sounds on that ROM were much much better than those with Neat.

Is anybody here on rootbox? anybody know where they're from?? can anyone post the sound files up???!!!
 
Hi Guys. Opposite problem for me. Im running CarbonRom JB 4.2.2 at the moment but it doesnt have the message notification sounds that are on NeatRom. Please can anybody post the files or point me in the right direction. Many thanks.
 
btw hawker, do you use siyah on rootbox - it's just you said siyah was your favourite, gok says beta 5 will boot on rootbox but there may be issues - does all work fine with you

Siyah beta5 won't work on RB Syd. It wont boot.
You will need a fiddled Siyah, called Siyah vsync.
Only problem with this is that its not 100% compliant with mali v2, which isnt a huge problem, but if you use the daydream clock, you will get screen corruption.

On RB I just stick to the stock kernel.

the only thing that makes me stop using RB as my daily driver is the 4.2.2 audio dropout through BlueTooth problem. No kernel I've tried seems to fix this
MMS is also an issue (cant send/receive) but GO SMS works for this (not ideal for me but at least its a work-around)

apart from this, its an absolutely fabulous ROM.
 
Thanks hawker. Thought I'd read siyah would boot, but didn't try it. Glad I didn't now!!

Same problems as you on RB. Shame coz these are some of the features I use most on my phone, so couldn't keep it on as my fault Rom. Shame, coz in many other ways I preferred it to neat.
 
Agreed, RootBox is a great rom. I have been testing it for about a week now and love it. I ditched the standard kernel and used Dorimanx with excellent results. Hate to say it, but it could tempt me away from NEATrom for quite a while as LSN has not been so great for me.

Which combination of RootBox/Dorimanx are you currently using?

I have just experienced the screen problem Hawker refers to.

Been using the daydream feature for a week or so when phone is docked on charger overnight.

result this morning had a solid white bar across the screen.
back to normal now but thought the screen was stuffed as nothing was displaying correctly on the bottmm 10mm.

Was using Dori kernel. 9.12

Overall like Rootbox as a rom.
 
In case anyone is interested, there is now a new derivative of Siyah v6b5 for JB 4.2.2 which is built with the new Mali2 video drivers. This will mean the Daydream clock corruption that was present on the other vsync derivative of the kernel is no longer the case.

I've had it on all day with no issues at all up to now.
Very smooth (certainly as smooth as the stock CM kernel)
Added benefit of course, of being able to get BLN back.
See how battery fares over the next day or so now....

It even comes bundled with GS2KernelWipe2.07, which I wasn't asked about, but at least he credited me in his OP which is nice. :)

Siyah v6.0b5 with Maliv2/r3p1 video drivers
