Leaked Update

Well it works I suppose lol

Didn't fix the home screen dots. According to the *#*#4636#*#* menu, where I am sat now is UTMS regardless of whether I hold the phone at the bottom or the top.

Those are not "issues". It's a LEAKED update so it's not supported yet, obviously..

um, they are indeed still "issues" - it's just one can't really complain about them as it's an unofficial release... but don't kid yourself... they are still ISSUES

Anyhow, I've decided to jump back to ERE27 simply because I don't want to use this for a while and then have to wipe it again to be able to use the official update, that would be annoying (not that the unintentional wipe today wasn't )

Still, live and learn!

Hmm... may not be as easy to switch back as I was led to believe, but on the plus side the reception does seem good.

New info:

You DO NOT have to be root after all, you have to name the file PASSIMG.ZIP and put it into the root of the SDCARD.

Get into the bootloader and it will ask you if you wish to update.. I have, am now on ERE36B

I can also report that the dots on the home screen aren't fixed.

Bad news is (and I didn't realise at the time) that it resets the phone, so my messages and apps have gone walkabout. Arse.

This never happened to me but others that it happened to just said you had to do a reboot and everything would come back.

Oh that would have been good to know, I spent ages trying to remember what I had to install lol

i just installed the this and yeah, i does reset the phone, but once you log in with your google account, all the apps should be reloaded automatically
