Hey everybody. I just made an account, though I've frequented these forums (and xda) for several months looking for different things for old phone, the Ascend. I bought the LG Esteem about 2 weeks ago, and am very happy with it. In an attempt to try to make it more my own, and maybe even help others in the future, I'd like to (at least try) learn how to develop. If somebody could give me some tips, or point me in the right direction, I'd be greatly appreciated.
I have the SDK tools, Eclipse, and have the plug-ins for Eclipse, but I havent the slightest idea what to do now.

Hey, I was/am in the same boat as you. I've been @Android now for about 2+ years, I've owned the DroidX, the Huawei Ascend, LG G2x and now the LG Esteem. I've been able to create a few things, nothing related to android development though. I created bootanimations, wallpapers in PS and they were novice at best.

So I started this week(amazingly enough) lol to convince myself to get into Android development. I searched on a few websites and came across a website called TheNewBoston - Free Educational Video Tutorials on Computer Programming, Adobe Software, Computer Science and More! I've done now 17 tutorials and have been able to build the application thru the tutorial and then emulate it on my phone. Go check it out, starts out easy enough and he can be confusing at times, but he has over 200 tutorials related to Android development. I am almost certain I am going to learn how to development by the end. Hope it helps, but it was the best website I was able to find :)
