Help Leave Google Navigator for another app - have to re-enter destination?

Am I doing something wrong? If I am using Google Maps/Navigator - happily following along as my car wends it's way down the street and I have to exit to say, answer a phone call, look at another app... when I go back into Navigator my destination info is gone. I have to re-enter my destination.

Ideas?

You shouldn't..if you pull up the Navigator again it should be under Recent Destinations..its not there? Also, you shouldn't have to completely exit the google nav to use another app. Just go to the app and then go back to you nav.

That's weird. It should run in the background and stay in the notification bar/dropdown and when you go back it should look just like it did before you switched apps :/

The way I was reading his post I looks like he is completely exiting the app.

if you go to another app....nav will remain in your notification area and will still be going.
if you hit Home. same thing.
if you Back out of it....you will have to reenter or choose your destination from the previously entered ones.
