Leaving the forum, Nexus arrived today

I will never understand why Samsung would limit the internal memory AND fail to give you slot for a micro SD at the same time. I use the cloud but there are still things I want on my phone.

That is exactly the reason why I bought the SG2 a month ago. I had been due to upgrade since April and was waiting for a good BB but ever since it didnt come up I decided joining Android. When I first heard of the Nexus I thought that having ICS would be fantastic but when I found out the device specs and that ICS would make to GS2 I cracked the GS2 pack and got myself one!
Fantastic device!

Isn't the Nexus built by Samsung for Google? If so then there's the reason for the limitations of the Nexus...

In a way i'm glad it has these limitations cause it leaves the S2 pretty much as THE phone to have and leaves a huge path for the super S3... which will be epic.

And by then ICS should be a nice OS to use.

The Google search on every page is a big turn off. I want widgets up at the top, not a search on every page.

I really hope Samsung 'fixes' that when they do the next version of Touchwiz... ;)

I was able to get rid of the Google page in the settings and "use Current page".

You can set it to what ever you want!

Can you post screenshots of that? :)

If you read above, you will see that I sold my Nexus after only a day.

I was able to go to my FedEx site and track a package. While that was on the screen, I was able to hit the menu button and set it via the menu to use the current page. After that when I hit the browser button, the browser took me directly to the updated FedEx tracking page.

I was using a International, factory unlocked and unbranded Nexus.

Sadly I am doing the same thing, I just sold my Galaxy S II a few minutes ago, so I won't be able to go back.

Now I am stuck using my wife's iphone 4s until my Nexus arrives tomorrow or Friday hopefully. I cant believe my Galaxy S II sold before the iphone 4s. errr

Probably because there are plenty of iPhone 4S floating around out there. :) I think I am going to wait for the Galaxy S III or the next top Samsung with Touchwiz, 720 display and a physical home button.

Can either of you that have the Nexus (or had the Nexus) tell me if ICS allows you to control the music player via headset remote buttons? This is the one thing that drive me nuts about the Android phones. If you have the phone in your pocket, you can't constantly have to pull it out to change tracks or volume. Also, why doesn't the phone ring in the headset when you have it plugged in?
