Help Leaving Tracfone

After years of terrible Tracfone (ZTE Valet) reception, would like to switch to Virgin prepaid no-contract.

My question is this: If one buys the minimum $6.98 deal, can one then buy a $35 card and have uninterrupted use for five months?

Yes, you can definitely do that. That plan was part of Virgin Mobile Custom at Walmart. It has been replaced but you can still activate a device part of that program. The total value of the top up card is added to your account and then the cost of the plan is deducted from the balance each month. Take a look at this link.
