why does the led flash when you have a message for only 5 minutes then goes off,kinda sucks,think id should still blink until you read it,anyway of changing it or is it the way it is??
 
I think it does that to save battery but there are some apps on the market that let you tinker with the frequency and duration of the blink.

I think one was called blink - led, and another was light flow
You won't be able to change the color of the led like those apps are also designed to do since the inspire doesn't have a multi color led so just green, reddish orange
