Step 1: Root your phone following the '10 minute root video'
Step 2: Download lamppu for free from market
Step 3: ...
Step 4: Profit! Working LED flashlight without paying a cent.

Agreed. Lamppu works great. Just make sure you turn off the light before you use the camera. If you don't camera won't function until you reboot.

I have installed froyo (the newest leak) and it has an HTC flashlight app. Has 3 different brightness levels, and works FLAWLESSLY. It is seriously AMAZING.

I don't have any pics as I am at work with no mirror.

If you don't want to deal with apps or messing with the software....just open the camera, switch to video, and turn the light on. Simple

Does anybody else realize the 2.2 update came with a flashlight app from HTC?

There is an HTC Flashlight app for the Dinc. One of the ROMs I tried out had it but for the life of me I can't remember which one. And it worked. Looked like a MAGlite flashlight. Press the button once to turn on one LED, press again for both, and a 3rd time to turn off. I wanna say it was the ported EVO rom but don't hold me to that.

Guys, please check the dates of the posts in this thread. This thread was created when the Incredible was first released, when there was no flash light app.

Closing thread.
