Help LED Indicator Light

I know my light hasn't been blown, but it no longer functions the way it is supposed to. I've had my phone for about 6 months now. The LED Indicator used to be red and stay on while charging until it turned green to indicate the phone was completely charged. It does briefly go red when the phone is first plugged up, but doesn't stay on 10 seconds. It no longer comes on - red or green - when plugged up. Under settings, the appropriate box is checked to make this feature work. The LED used to flash when I had a text message I hadn't read, now nothing. This means I have to wake up my phone to see if I have any unread messages. Would really like my light to function again... Any suggestions?
 
i don't know the answer but i've noticed on my phone that sometimes the led is green after a charge and sometimes it isn't (even thought it's fully charged)

i'm not sure why this is but it's not something that bothers me much.
 
Same here - when the phone is on the charger, I see red, green, blinking blue, nothing - who knows . . . :confused:
