Help LED Light question about charging/G4 General Issues

Ive had a G4 for about 3 weeks now, and would greatly appreciate a little help as a few of the other forums seemed to not offer much advise.

1. When the phone is at rest and charging, the LED flashes/beeps on and off a red color. When it's fully charged the LED flashes Green. Aren;t these lights supposed to be solid? Could my unit be defective? Ive heard yes and no answers.

2. With auto dim set to off and screen brightness at 65%, almost everytime i unlock the phone it auto dims by itself. Ive never experienced this with any other phone except the G3 a year ago. it this normal?

3. On standby the battery does not deplete. Like ever. It was at 88%, and 3 hours later was at 88%. But 5 minutes of simply chrome browsing brought it down to 81%. 5 minutes.

im not rooted, and use only stock, AT&T software. I really like this phone, but want to make sure they aren't all like mine.

Thanks.

Not sure I'm much help:

On my G4 the red and green lights are solid when charging/after charging.

I have auto brightness turned off and my screen at about 50%. I've never had this happen when unlocking it. It stays at my preset brightness of 50%.

3. On standby the battery does not deplete. Like ever. It was at 88%, and 3 hours later was at 88%. But 5 minutes of simply chrome browsing brought it down to 81%. 5 minutes.

I have this happen occasionally when my battery stays at 100% for longer than it seems possible. Standby time is really good on this phone, but your issue seems abnormal.

Seems like you possibly have a bad phone. I'm on T-Mobile so I'm not sure how different the software would be. I would factory reset my phone and see if these issues happen with your phone at factory conditions with no extra apps installed.

Auto brightness is a bit silly, and mislabelled. When I open the Camera app in direct sunlight... it dims the screen to make it harder to see. When I open a video and play it, it's bright for all of 30 seconds, then fades almost black.

If it were called 'Power Saver' mode, I'd be okay with that behaviour, but since it is called 'Auto', I expect some context awareness and intelligence. Make those videos B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L, please - and make those shots easier to take by brightening up my viewfinder. ;)

My old Galaxy Note was not this dense, but it did drain battery remarkably faster.
