Help LED Not Working

I started noticing a few days ago that the LED indicator on my bionic doesn't seem to be working. That is, I get one brief flash of light and then nothing. My phone was recently rooted, but this problem predated me rooting the phone. Has anyone reported similar issues with their phone? I tried a search and got no results.

On a related note: could my rooting the phone help with this issue (or hinder a solution to the problem)?

I tried powering off the phone, and a battery pull. i do not want to do a hard reset.

Thanks. If there is info in the forum about this, please let me know.

I have a Droid X and a Bionic. My Droid X led is bright and easy to see. My Bionic led is so dim that I sometimes don't see that it is on (especially in a bright light situation).

Yeah, that's what i miss about the Droid X. Still, I used to see the bionic's LED just fine. Only now I get one flash of light with a notification (if at all) then nothing. Before, the light would flash continuously.

Update: no, this is not a situation where the LED light is covered by a case.

I have also found a thread addressing my issue, so i will see what others have written about this. Glad to know I am not crazy.

Light flow did not help. In fact, it introduced new problems...

Edit: thought I would add that Light flow worked, but seemingly only with the ICS ROMs. It does not work with stock ROM. I am trying it with Eclipse 2.2 as we speak and update this if it works.

I actually noticed the LED when I removed my case and it only seems to flash (dimly) when I have an unread e-mail. I think this is the way it's supposed to work. I would love to have it as a charging indicator.
