LED notification lights for Note? Vibration options?

I bought a Galaxy Note this weekend and LOVE it so far (I had an EVO, which I also enjoyed)! But a few questions:
1) on Note, do they have LED notification lights that blink for emails & texts, and if so how do you set it up??
2) On EVO, I had the great "Smart Vibrator" app which allowed you to customize vibration patterns for ring/text...it worked perfectly on EVO, but the app doesn't seem to work at all on Note (and the current vibrate setting on Note is pathetic and hardly noticable, even when it sits on my desk). Any thoughts on how to get Smart Vibrator to work, and/or suggestions for other notification apps would be so helpful!! Thanks, all!

This is your first post so welcome to Android Forums:). I'm not sure about the notification led. If it does, a great app to control it is LightFlow. It also does allows for vibrate on notifications but I am not sure about patterns. I'm sure you could figure it out.

I love my Note, but I have to agree the vibration is pretty weak on it. I barely notice it as well on my desk at work, if at all. I would be nice to have more vibration options as well.

Download 'noled' from the market ..
I was having the same issue, coming from a HTC world where the phone did have a notification light (and BB before that ..)
Anyways watch the video, as it tells you how to set it up, and you do not have to root your phone to use it !!

Thx, Pjamies, I really appreciate your tip. I downloaded the "NoLED" app, and will see how it goes. I do like that I can now look at the screen and see icons for email and/or texts, but the vibration customizing does not seem to work (it still just does the faint default Note vibration, not the customized short-long patterns). Did you download it on the Note, is everything working for you?

I got the note too and I'm a bit disappointed about the LED notification :( Adolphi, just wondering if you got the LED to work using the "noled" app. Thanks!

Hey FraGztr-
I was able to get the NoLED icons to work (I successfully set up distinct icons and colors). I set it up last night, and have today really enjoyed being able to look at my screen and see if I have emails and texts to view. The one issue that I still can't get set up are the vibration patterns for NoLED (phone still does the faint Note vibration, and even if phone is on my desk w/max vibration, I may not notice the vibration). NoLED allows you to customize vibration pattern (and Smart Vibrator app allowed to to even further customize, I LOVED it on my HTC Evo!), but I can't get the NoLED customization to work. Have you tried it, FraGztr? I'd love to hear any feedback you have! -Adolphi

Hey all-
For what it is worth, problem solved!! Turns out that I had everything set as it should be *except* having haptic feedback checked "on" in the settings checkbox. As soon as I did this, I was able to get the vibrations customized in both NoLED and the great Smart Vibrator apps. The default Note vibration is still weak (even on Maximum), but the customized patterns make notifications more noticeable when my phone is on silent. Thanks for the great responses in the forum! -adolphi

no I didnt get to try the noled notification, but once I setup my phone the way I like it, then I'll try that. Good to hear you got it working. Thanks for the info.
