Help LED notification problem?

is there a pattern the led light blinks at if i have a certain message? mine doesnt blink at a steady blink while on stand by mode for like missed calls. it blinks twice then waits 15 secs of so then blinks twice..then it goes to blinking once.. for my text messages if its on standby(blank screen) and i get a text..sometimes it wont blink at all..nothing until i wake up the phone then it starts blinkin.
 
i believe the phone will only blink for a certain amount of time while the phone is asleep then the led shuts off and when you wake the phone it starts again. at least this is what i have noticed on my phones. i think it just does this to save battery, but i could be wrong.

cool thks..i thought i had a broken led on my phone..guess i wont return it ..thks bro
 
ok i did some tests and my led light definitely doesnt work like its suppose to..it blinks most times..while in sleep n awake mode but while in sleep mode it sometimes doesnt blink or it starts to blink and stops and starts or doesnt blink at all..but as soon as i wake the phone up by clickin the button on top..the led light starts blinkin normally...ive reset the device and still the same..is mine the only one with this problem thks
 
it varies..but i think it might be a software issue..im sticking with the phone though 90% of the time led works fine..maybe itll get fixed on next os update..i just dont want to return the phone for that and have something else wrong...im sure il keep this phone until something new comes out like the new samsung. but thks for your help
 
you can try led me know, its an app that will let you change the frequency of the blink and it will also keep the led blinking in sleep mode. The inspire is set to shut the led off after about 5 minutes in sleep mode. With the led app if once you set it the led is still blinking then stopping randomly then it might be a software problem
 
I'll be honest here.... I can barely even see my LED blinking. Sometimes it's green, sometimes it's orange, and apparently, I can make it blue. Other than that, I don't really even notice it.

well coming from a blackberry i use the led alot..that way i dont have to wake up the phone to find out if i have a message.

Led me know or blink will let you change how fast/slow it blinks. however with the inspire you cannot change the led color (atleast no one has been able to yet)
