Help LED Notifier

Lurker
I downloaded SMS Popup and Missed Call because I want to use the LED notifier to change colors and display text messages, but even after selecting those options, it still doesnt work. Has anyone figured this out? Or is there a better app that works? Thanks everyone.

i know the LED only blinks when off, i just wish i knew why the apps that are supposed to make it blink for other events didnt work. is there a way to turn it off for email? maybe that's affecting it.

First of all, make sure you have 'Missed Call for Android 2.x' not just plain 'Missed Call'. Secondly, as per the app description, "LED Notifications for Missed Calls are not possible in Android "Froyo" 2.2." So watch out when that comes out later. And as eric said, the LED does not light up when the screen is on.

Email doesn't affect it, and there is a way to turn email off, but why would you? Missed call will not provide the notifications for email.

How do you turn the blinking off for emails? The only way I've found is to disable notifications for email. Reason being, for me, the green light is always flashing and never stops. That's more useless than it never coming on. Just wastes battery.

I also would like to turn of the LED for e-mail notification.

Any help is appreciated.

My BB 8830 had an app called BB Alerts. It allowed the LED to change colors for missed calls, email, voice mail. It also allowed an audible alert, time variable. Can't anyone develop a similar app ??

While technically it wastes the battery, your screen being on for a few seconds is enough to power the LED for the entire day easily.
