Help LED soft-key issue.

Has anybody else had an issue with the soft-keys at the bottom of the screen? Mine randomly do not light up and I have no idea why. I think it is more of a software issue maybe. I didn't see anything that had to do with settings.. Is anybody else having these issues?

There is no issue.

They only light up in low light. To prove this, put your hand over the sensors and they will light up in about 5 seconds.

I found this earlier too. I realized then what those sensors were for.

I do have an issue with them for a different reason.

1. They light up too easily - I mean low light is one thing but almost all conditions except for midday sun seems to be low-light (slight exaggeration)
2. And more important - I often dont WANT them to light up (or at least want them to time out) - I I am watching a video in low light I dont like that the buttons burn away - HTC should allow either a slider to adjust sensitivity or at least the option to turn the lights off all together (or both)

Yes, I would love the option to turn them off or at least down. Or perhaps a timed off function... in low light situations they are brighter than the screen and incorrectly add light to the bottom portion of the screen.
