anyone else used/using this rom is it any good?

just looking for a new sense 2.1/3.0 rom since RCMix S appears to be dead

I've not tried it myself, nor do I intend to.

I'm more than happy with the rom in my sig, regardless of whether it will be updated or not.

Every thing runs sweet as it is, so I don't see the need to change it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it lol.

The only rom I would consider trying is the up and coming Honey3D port, which may well be some way off yet.

I was just over at XDA looking at the Evolutionary sense thread(RCMix S v2.0) and some of the comments being made because robocik has apparently stopped developing the rom are outragous, considering the amount of work that robocik has done and all for free at that.

you know how people are they get pissy for no reason, just like when HTC said gingerbread wouldn't come out for the desire.

the reason i wanted to try this rom was because rcmix s was the first rom i flashed and although it runs fine it can be laggy and doesn't feel that smooth.

well i tried it and liked it alot, it's faster than RCmix S and the flyin animations make the phone feel totally different, i wasn't so fond of the transparent notification pull down menu but generally the transparent menus look good, i did have a couple of problems with like the facebook app not linking to some contacts, and the weather widget didn't work perfectly, ever time i'd refresh it would load then crash on me. i still need to see how the battery performs and give it a good test but these kinda stuck out so far, i would also like to see more addons brought out for it but it is good but i doubt i will stick with it over RCMix S

I have been using this rom for a week, prior to that I tried Cym7. I do feel the CYM run faster and the design is better. However, CYM don't support Chinese hand writing input, so I converted back to leedriod. I am having some problem with the senses, as I feel its kind of slow in responding, or maybe something wrong I have done. Still trying to figure it out. In terms of battery life, it's definitely way better than the stock rom.

Put this on my phone, don't bother with the lockscreen addon, it seems to make the phone a lot more laggy.

Mostly very nice, I agree with Rotten Ross, though some of the newer included HTC apps are worse imo.

The SMS app - if you want a delivery report you can't just have a tick next to a message - it always puts something into the notifications (unless I've missed a setting).

The music app - if you pause and go elsewhere it'll lose your place, and if you touch the bottom right to view the tracks in the current album and touch hold on one the option to delete has been removed - both are handy for podcasts.

I've tried transplanting the APKs from LeeDroid 3.0.8.2 (MMS.apk and HTCMusic.apk) with no luck, they just force close, would I need some of the .so files out of /system/lib too? Yep, I tried clearing the app data before swapping them out, and rebooting.

The quick settings in the pulldown could do with airplane mode and sync on/off and sync now, too.

Maybe some import (include) inside /system/framework/com.htc.android.pimlib.jar is significantly different for sense 3.0?

Unless. Does 'installing' this way (copying the apk into /system/app) not impart the required permissions? (read SMS, etc).

After using the LEEDroid 3.3 for couple weeks, my phone will shut off all of a sudden. I need to pull out the battery and start my phone again. Is this a common issue to the ROM or, I have done something wrong during the installation?

might just been your phone mate, it works fine on mine also R5 is out now which is much faster then R3

Fine here too apart from the niggles with the SMS app and music player.

I hadn't noticed R5, thanks Ross, will have a look at the weekend.
