Help Legend notification panel and screen issue

When I spoke to HTC tech support about the same issue with mine they suggested I get my carrier (Vodafone) to send me a new one - said they'd never heard of this issue before.
 
I got the same issue.

I brought mine to the HTC service center here in the Philippines since it is still covered by warranty. They did a hard reset and told me to observe. Note, I mentioned to them that I did it already but insists I observe again. Up to now the phone is useless.

I will be bringing it back to the service center (which is quite far from my place) and will let you guys know as well what the response will be.

Just to share with you what I previously saw a couple of weeks back at this forum

Notification area swipedown not working
Hi

I had reception issues on my Legend so vodafone sent me a new (well, pre-owned/refurbished) one today. I haven't had it long enough to test the reception issues but I am unable to bring the notification area at the top of the screen down by swiping my finger. I can click 'menu>notifications' from the homescreen and that brings it up but I can't swipe it down - most odd. Although I have seen it come down about 30 seconds after I swipe it on occasion. This was the case with the old firmware and still is with the new. I've done soft and hard resets and it's still the case. Everything else on the phone works perfectly as far as I can see.

I called Vodafone who told me to call HTC. They were most perplexed and suggested vodafone send me another unit.

Any ideas though?!

EDIT: actually the notification area now seems to now be stuck - every time I click on anything it comes down. FFS.

I'm having the exact same issue. I thought it was due to one too many drops. Hopefully I can get it replaced under warranty.

I'll attempt it and report back
