anyone herd anything else on the release of the legend????. im still trying to decide if i should wait or get the hero on orange or touch on tmobile, has anyone got tmobile and using it in cumbria what is the 3g signal like?cheers

I was in Ambleside at the weekend, no signal at all from Vodafone in the town. I did get a good signal on top of Loughrigg but that's quite a walk juts to make a call!
 
I've just discovered that the Legend is now available for sale here in the Czech Republic... a little early! Not heard anything anywhere about it being released anytime before late march early April. Example links here and here courtesy of google translate...
 
there are as couple ofsellers on ebay claiming they will have sim free stock the first week in april.
 
I was actually going to buy a Legend and give my mate my Hero but I won't bother if they are tied to one network, in fact we should boycott all phones that have so called "exclusive" deals. The mobile networks are only using that to rip us off. iphone & O2 anybody?

Personally I wouldn't advise anyone to buy a Hero now. It's old tech. Yes I know you can never stay ahead, but the new phones are right round the corner so spare me the lecture.
 
What i don't understand is how it's available out here in central Europe but it's not been mentioned anywhere and everyone in the 'west' is still talking about it being released early April.

Just wish i had the cash to buy one. It's available here, but it's not available to me... :P
 
Well, that's good question ;) Maybe EU is special case ;) And maybe it's just a bluff...

No need to worry about the Legend. Will be cheaper later on :):o
 
Their is not enough difference in the phone to make we want to buy it.
That and do i want to own a phone that in three months will be out of date as far as software upgrades go.
I shall wait and see what the summer brings in terms of new phones and software on the market.

Its a good point, just from a looks perspective, its much nicer than the Hero, it has better hardware, and what makes you think HTC wont upgrade the OS?
 
I've just had a 20 minute call with Orange, once again my Hero is kaput and they'll rip up the contract and take the phone back if I like.

NOW here's the big question, can I buy an unlocked Legend or whatever and put an O2 sim in it and when will The Legend be available in the UK?

Well that's that sorted! And Orange are giving me back a few quid on my contract for the troubles I've had :)

I thought I read legend was running at 700 my bad, performance its not all hardware bear in mind, architecture and coding can play their part.
