Help Less lock screen notifications, possible?

I get too many items on my lock screen, so many that I can't see the ones that are most important.

For example: When plugged into my PC, the lock screen shows three items just to do with it being plugged in:
  • HTC Sync manager
  • USB Connected
  • Media device connected
I also have one app that always runs, I know it's running but don't need it's entry listed here.

Is there anyway I can disable some of these?
 
Are you talking about the full lock screen notifications (front and center) or just having the icon being displayed in the top?
 
You must be on lollipop? It's annoying I agree. Or just different and I'll adjust. The notification pull down window is weird right now too.
 
Just discovered that long pressing a notification on the lock screen brings up an information icon which accesses a settings screen with options for each app using the lock screen for notifications. Eventually one could clean the lock screen completely.
 
You can go into the interruptions menu and select specific apps that you would like to not show on the lock screen. This may help you.
