Let's Get a Release Date from Verizon Ourselves!!!

Alright, here's the deal:

I'm in favor of sending emails to Verizon executives and flooding Verizon's twitter, facebook, and other social media. The whole point of these outlets is to share expressions and info. Why is it okay for verizon to spam us with all these RAZR emails (I got like three), and we are considered "childish" for posting on their Facebook. Albeit, those who are going to email/post hateful things should refrain from posting at all. But nonetheless it's partly our fault for not having a release date by now because we haven't exhausted all our options. Really, I doubt even 5% of us have taken the time to write just ONE email or FB wall post. Sure we sit back and wait on this thread for leaks (and that's all good), but we need to force Verizon into giving us the info. All this asking sales reps and call center employees is pointless. Also, the leaks are really just for our leisure, because we know in the back of our mind that there is a good chance it might not be correct information.

I'm asking everyone with an account SEND ONE EMAIL to Verizon Execs (details below) or POST ON VZW's Facebook/Twitter. Do your part.

Flooding their pages is far from childish, what's childish is letting Verizon spoon-feed us whatever they want to.

GSM version of the Galaxy Nexus is being released in Europe on Thursday (confirmed by carriers). Why haven't we heard when the Verizon model is going to release? I will not be buying a Razr or Rezound. I refuse to settle. I would like to give you money, but it doesn't seem like you want it all that much.

Of course we are doing this for a release date, but even if we can put some pressure on Verizon it would still be a success. Also, facebook is probably the fastest way to spread information on the internet. That being said, Verizon knows that the more posts we get on their page, the more others (regular consumers) will know about and want the SGN. It's a win-win

I hate to tell you, there will be no pressure that makes a multi billon dollar company with stock holders change their mind in terms of speeding this up or not delaying it or whatnot. Their execs are not going to see that stuff and say, "oh shizzz... we better push this out now". Their history should prove that true, and so should the history of any large corp.

this is just great hahaha, i just went back to the Verizon Facebook and noticed their wall has BLOWN UP with Nexus posts, i share the enjoyment that BabyBlues does in seeing some of the the people who are part of our enormous Nexus interest group.

And if any of you on here are the ones that "liked" what i said, i thank you and i'm trying to like as many "nexus posts" as i can but they are coming up too fast :-D did my part and said:

"So Verizon, I've known you for quite a while, and that's all great. I understand you want to take it slow, but can you please hurry up and give me some Nexus release date info!? Please, don't hold out on me! "

I don't do twitter but earlier today I posted on their facebook asking when they were going to announce a release and said I was getting tired of waiting.

Here is what I just put on the Verizon facebook page.

I have a question regrding the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. The phone was first debuted in Hong Kong on October 18th. It is nearly a month later and there has been no release date from Verizon. Is there anything you can tell us long-time loyal Verizon customers about when this phone is going to be released?? The Razr and Rezound aree both great devices, but the one I, and many other are waiting on, is the Galaxy Nexus. Thank you
