Wipe cache, dalvik cache, and data after flashing. Do one more factory reset too for good measure.flashing zip right now. Should i wipe cache after the flash?
I did everything you said. wipe cache, dalvik, data >> install >> wipe cache dalvik, data >> boot animation loopWipe cache, dalvik cache, and data after flashing. Do one more factory reset too for good measure.
After you install you wipe the cache and dalvik, but not data. You're erasing the data that cm11 needs to work.I did everything you said. wipe cache, dalvik, data >> install >> wipe cache dalvik, data >> boot animation loop
sigh :'/.
First flash the slim rom (or your stock), then try this method again. If it doesn't work do the following below.Wiped everything > flashed > wiped cache + dalvik > boot animation stuck.
Should I try it with CWM?
I'll try flashing with CWM, and if that doesn't help, i'm out of options. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication.First flash the slim rom (or your stock), then try this method again. If it doesn't work do the following below.
Do me a favor and run a dmesg. I'll take a look at it.
I might have a theory... A lot of files from Samsung that might not have been in the slim rom are now here and that could POSSIBLY cause an issue? IDK.... It's strange.
If it doesn't work, still please send me a dmesg so I could look into things.I'll try flashing with CWM, and if that doesn't help, i'm out of options. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication.
Remember that he has the galaxy core lte not the avant which is probably why he is having problems that nobody else is having.First flash the slim rom (or your stock), then try this method again. If it doesn't work do the following below.

Actually the data you are referring to isn't generated until you boot into android. I almost always wipe both before and after flashing a rom and it has never once caused a problem for me. As long as you don't wipe system after flashing it isn't a problem. After you install you wipe the cache and dalvik, but not data. You're erasing the data that cm11 needs to work.
Flash stock and send me ur build.propWell, isn't it ruled out that it isn't because its a core? I was able to flash TWRP, CWM, and the slim rom without hitch, and those were meant for the avant?
I'm restoring the stock, then i'm going to reset that to stock and then flash the CM.
Actually it shouldn't say"starting apps" or "optimizing apps" or "android is upgrading" at all. When you factory reset and do a clean install the only thing you should see while it is starting up is the boot animation. The fact that you are seeing these messages means that you haven't done a factory reset.
Okay will do.Flash stock and send me ur build.prop
Adb pull is to pull files from your device straight to your pc. Idk how that would help you :/I saw on some other posts to use adb pull or something, maybe that would work? But I don't know how to start that.

Okay not that command, but I was looking around and some people were having the issue because of permission errors or something? and that there was an adb command that could fix that. If I am speaking giberish please tell me.Was literally about to type this lol
