Everytime I try to flash with TWRP it shows up as Failed also. Am I downloading the correct file?

Make sure you wipe data before you try to flash it. It didnt work for me until i did

Another thing i noticed battery drain is quick in 2 1/2 hrs my battery went from 100 to 70 percent

I flashed back to stock for now cause i need my phone cause im at work and until i at least fix audio and camera.

I get about that same discharge on stock

May not be going into deep sleep properly with that kind of drain. Was it on standby in your pocket or were you on it alot?

Yea, battery is draining faster on cm. I also noticed that the multi tasking button doesn't work. You need to hold the home button. And rotation doesn't work. Along with the already reported camera, audio etc. Etc.

Wipe data wipe cache reinstall zip.

What version of the avant do you have?

... I have the Galaxy Core LTE SM-G386W, I was able to flash all recoveries that were meant for the avant. And the slim rom that appeared on XDA.

I really am not sure, right now i am backing up my stock. I'll try again.

Before you try again, factory reset then wipe system.

If your not flashing gapps then it should really only take maybe 2-3 mins.

Okay then there is a problem :/. It's been at it for the last 10-12 minutes. Would fixing the permissions help?

Actually it shouldn't say"starting apps" or "optimizing apps" or "android is upgrading" at all. When you factory reset and do a clean install the only thing you should see while it is starting up is the boot animation. The fact that you are seeing these messages means that you haven't done a factory reset.

No, there was the cyanogenmod animation. AFTER that Android says upgrading. And in twrp i selected all of the resets/format/wipe ??

i'll take another look.

Okay I wiped everything and it prompted me to install supersu cause i wiped it.
