Root Let's Get CM Onto Avant!

I think I reproduced the same result cause I restored to stock yesterday morning and when I got home I flashed cn11 and it wasn't booting staying stuck on cyanogenmod bootanimation. I had to wipe /system partition clean with adb within recovery. Try this
1. Boot into recovery
2. Connect phone to PC
3. Adb shell
4. Type " mount /system"
5. "cd /system"
6. "rm -rf *"
7. Then flash cm11
Those steps should fix your problem.
Sorry, but how do I go about sending the commands through adb? I'm a complete noob at this stuff.

I'm about to reflash it and do a little more of an in depth test on everything :) Maybe I can report some more bugs if I find any.

EDIT: If it wasnt for the calling and the touchscreen bugs I would run this all the time.

Touchscreen bug is due to some missing files like tsdaemon wsdaemon and some firmware files i forgot to add. I adb pushed them to my phone and touchscreen is working perfectly
Any ideas about calling? If you need logs let me know which ones and I'll see about getting them to you
EDIT: Also do you think you could put those files up to download and tell us where to put them along with permissions...

adb shell gives "error: closed", adb devices shows my device.

Ive encountered a weird error after restoring my stock rom. Everything works perfect how it did but for some reason my snapchat no longer sends pics, cant view videos or stories, but still sends text. Any ideas? Maybe fix permissions?

Clear the data of the app? Or maybe completely uninstall and re-install?

Maybe its possible that flashing the test build changes something that a nandroid won't restore? I've noticed after I went back to stock that I don't get lte anymore.

You can get lte back easy enough. Go to settings, mobile networks, and select lte, wcdma, gsm manually. It defaults back to just wcdma, gsm for some reason

For stock go into dialer and press *#2263# and and theres a setting to get lte cant remember which one at the moment but if u set it to auto it'll pick up lte again
Worked like a charm. I selected option #4 LTE BAND PREFERENCE and then selected ALL and had lte back in a split second. Thanks for the help.

Oh ok so for now I just have to figure out at least audio I guess when I fixed touchscreen on my end it fix auto rotation also
Nice, next is audio then I would call it a "semi-stable" build
Edit: what logs would you need for audio?

i bought this phone not to long ago, good phone just to much useless apps, if i root will i still be able to get ota update over the air, kies, or do i have to flash with odin, and is there somebody working on a list of apps that can be safely removed from this phone and not 'cause it to have issues?

Dont use the slim rom. Its garbage. The guy took too much out and it breaks alot of things. As far as removing apps is concerned. Dont remove them just go to applications manager and turn them off. All the samsung, carrier, and printer apps can be turned off without hurting functionality. Outside of those, if the option exists to turn it off, chances are it wont hurt the phone. As far as ota's are concerned all stock apps must be turned on in order to recieve them but if you are on ANK3 software already, there hasnt been 1 since november.
