I'm not sure. I have the Samsung Galaxy Avant from MetroPcs. Did I do something wrong?Wait, just to be sure, you have the Avant right?? I don't know why your settings have a "menu button" section, the Avant doesn't have a hardware menu buton.
No nothing wrong, that's what I have as well. Just wasn't sure why it says menu button instead of what mine says.I'm not sure. I have the Samsung Galaxy Avant from MetroPcs. Did I do something wrong?
They did a great job, but I just flashed back to stock that lock screen lag was too much for me to handle, excellant work though guys, this ROM is progressing well.
It's definitely there, press the power or home button and there's almost a second or two from the time you press the button to the backlight coming on.What lock screen lag? You flash correctly? I am not seeing any of that.
Yes, the keys light up before the screen right? It's definitely there, press the power or home button and there's almost a second or two from the time you press the button to the backlight coming on.
Maybe post a logcat for the devs then?I'm running stock and I get a lag turning the screen on
Known issues are the back camera (picture taking only, videos work), the proximity sensor, and a noticable lag from the time your press a button and the time the screen turns on. There might be other small bugs but these are the major ones. Can someone post a summary of what is not yet working or issues when using cm11 so far?
By the way grrrrreat work to those working on this and providing support to this device. Appreciate it.
So is there a fix for me to get my recents button working? All it says is "Menu" and even if I try to do it through "Menu" and change the "Short press action" setting to "Recent apps switcher" it doesn't work.No nothing wrong, that's what I have as well. To be honest I wouldn't really know HOW, but if I were you I would reflash...So is there a fix for me to get my recents button working? All it says is "Menu" and even if I try to do it through "Menu" and change the "Short press action" setting to "Recent apps switcher" it doesn't work.
Can you give me the correct download links so I can download them through my phone, move them to SD card, and then flash them through TWRP? Just trying to be sure I get everything correct. To be honest I wouldn't really know HOW, but if I were you I would reflash...
I recommend a clean flash so factory reset in TWRP and then do these in order:Can you give me the correct download links so I can download them through my phone, move them to SD card, and then flash them through TWRP? Just trying to be sure I get everything correct.
That is not an issue with the ROM. Apps like titanium backup and root uninstaller can be unreliable for stuff like that. The most reliable way to convert a user app to a system app is to use a root file manager. First you go to /data/app and copy the app that you want to convert, then go to /system/app and paste it there. The permissions should already be set to rw r r but if they aren't then you will need to change them. Next you need to uninstall the app you just copied to the system(or you can just move it instead of copying it).Let's not give up people! Try everything in the book! If you come across any other issues that have yet not been mentioned please post. I found one....I use root uninstaller. Now I know which apps our safe to convert to to system and apps safe to uninstall. I didn't have any issues on the stock ROM. But when I tried converting some user apps on this CM ROM. 50% of them would go corrupted. Even with a clean cache app.

You also need to look inside the apk and see if it contains any lib files. If it does you will need to extract those and put them in /system/lib with the permissions set to rw r r. Apps that contain and rely on lib files, like Google Chrome, will not work properly as system apps unless you extract the libs they need and put em in /system/lib.
