Root Let's Get CM Onto Avant!

So do you guys know why the zip wouldn't install? I can't wait to start testing it :3.
Sorry if i seem impatient, I have been waiting a long time for a custom rom.

Could one of ya'll make a flashable zip for twrp? just in case someone wants to go back without using odin. Thanks in advance if you do :)

I have already done this but ShabbyPenguin doesn't want anyone else mirroring his files. If you want a flashable zip to switch back to TWRP quickly just follow these directions.
(1) Use root explorer to extract all the contents of the flashable zip for cwm.
(2) Delete the recovery.img (cwm) from the folder that the contents were extracted to.
(3) Extract the recovery.img (twrp) from the .tar file that it comes in and put it in the folder that you extracted the cwm zip to.
(4) Change the name of the folder that the recovery.img and META-INF are inside of from cwm-recovery to twrp-recovery then use root explorer to zip it back up.

That's all there is to it.
Edit: If you don't have root explorer you can use this file manager

It is made by the same dev as root explorer, is free, and has all the same capabilities except it doesn't have root access. The default path that it extracts files to is /storage/emulated/0/speedsoftware/extracted
The new zip you make will go to /storage/emulated/0/speedsoftware/archives

I was able to get cm11 to build all the .img files including recovery, but odviously it failed at creating the proper zip files. I still dont know if cm11 will work or not. I'll take a look at my zipped ROM files I build for the g3. Maybe I can get something going that way.

Have you tried lunch, then mka otapackage?
 
Sorry if I'm late to the party here but can I just install the cm11 zip with the cwm recovery listed above, is it a flashable zip?

Keep going man! Someone is going to get this going. I'm going to try using an android kitchen and see if I can build a zip off the .IMG files I built.
 
Also new to the party. Awesome work so far guys. I have 2 back up phones so when you are rdy for testing id be happy to give it a go. Just picked up my Avant a couple days ago and so far, i love it. Add cm to it and id be in phone heaven :)
 
Just a suggestion. The lg optimus l90 is an msm8226 based phone with qhd res. Also has a working cm11 and may be a better starting point then the moto g build. Also has the adreno 305 gpu which may help us get past the graphical issues
