The core or the grand LTE isn't the same camera? What type of camera is it .... Would there be anyway of writing are own drivers ... If we base it off Samsung source code?
 
Idk if this info helps but I've been using the stock kernel for the core lte sm-g386w on my avant for weeks now and it hasn't caused any issues. Everything works exactly the same.
 
I don't know if I read one of the logs posted on here but one of the modules failed to load. Something along the lines of faceproc

I've been running all these ROMs and recoveries for the Avant on my Core LTE! :D

The phones are pretty much identical.
 
Is there a certain date when this will be finished? Also can someone tell me how to flash this onto my phone. I have TWRP and I also need GApps. Thanks

I seriously doubt that anyone will promise to have this done by a specific date. Building ROMs from source is tricky business and sometimes they never get 100% finished. We all hope that it does get finished soon but all we can do is be patient.

One thing is, please don't ask a dev for a finish date. Most of the devs working on this have lives and other things going on. They do this as a hobby. Now in twrp make a backup of your phone to your external SD card before doing anything, Make sure you have gaps from goo.I'm/gapps/ you will want the ones for 4.4.4 put those and the zips you downloaded from this thread onto your SD card and flash them all in order (Cm11 then the drivers fix, then the gapps)
 
The ROM zip you need is on post # 617

The patch for video playback is on post # 917

You can get the 4.4.4 gapps HERE

Boot into TWRP, make a full backup on your External SD card, do a factory reset and wipe system, then flash the ROM, then the patch zip, then gapps in that order, and reboot.
