Root Let's Get CM Onto Avant!

But the way to get back to stock, like when you bought the phone is to use the update tar from Sammy and flash it using Odin, it will remove recovery and bring you to the stock phone as if you just got it. The avant I have is my 3rd one and after trying to restore my newest one to official status I have learned that some of them it seems can never be restored to 100% official status. My first two came with the G386T1UVU1ANH3 firmware and I could restore them to official status by rebooting to recovery, formatting system, data, and cache, then rebooting straight to bootloader (download mode) and flashing the G386T1UVU1ANH3 firmware, then rebooting straight to recovery and doing a factory reset with the stock recovery, then rebooting straight back into the bootloader and flashing the G386T1UVU1ANK3 firmware, then rebooting the phone normally and skipping through the setup wizard. Finally I would boot into download mode and check to see if system status and current binary both said Samsung official. If necessary I would repeat the process again. This worked on my first two avants but my third avant which came with the newer G386T1UVU1ANK3 firmware will not go back to official status no matter how many hours I spend factory resetting and flashing firmware.
 
Well damn. Leave it to that ps3 tethering guy screwing ish up yo. I mean why do people feel like they can just jump on a thread and talk about Any and everything and ask questions that have the answers within the thread People can sure look for DL links but don't want to go to the trouble of thread surfing yet insist on posting none thread related stuff. Well I have the zips for the most recent and I use it daily but I won't post or upload unless I get permission too. I'm willing to help those actually respectful yo.

The people that screwed it up have been getting super annoying here lately. No respect for a Dev equals no work from the Dev. Until they get that through their heads I think its safe to say enjoy whatever ROM you are on for a while.

*sighs* Well, as said. I appreciate all the hard work done this far and only hope that this time away from work on these ROMs show people to be more respectful and realize that Dev's don't have to do what they do.. Until then I'm enjoying cm11..
 
Jo3lpr86 and dfuse06 thanks for a pretty sweet ROM its pretty stable thanks for all the hard work you two put into this thanks I'm enjoying using it. Sucks that people have to be dumb and mess it up

I don't think he meant any harm I'm assuming native tethering doesn't work on cm for right now he just was looking for a workaround I didn't think it was off topic and how is looking for the tethering options in cm 11 off top its pertaining to ROM

He was off topic, tethering works perfectly fine on cm. He was looking for a way to tether to his ps3. Which if he would've looked was already posted in the tethering thread on the all things root page. All it takes is a little research and it all could have been avoided.

Well, if your going back to j03ls build its lock screen lag and I think back camera is still broken. Dfuse took down his links for his zips I'm pretty sure so all of his work is pretty much gone. About the transfer, I would just hold onto it for a bit until we see how it all plays out.

I'm sure he didn't mean any harm as well. But at the same time his question had already been answered. Not to mention dfuse asked him nicely that he had made a thread that would be better suited to assist him in what he was looking for. Yet he ignored it and it was right after his previous post. Like yo maybe I found that a bit disrespectful.

Understandible so this issue is a recurrence now I know instead of questioning other folks Google is definitely your friend

Or just start a new thread.

Not every thread needs to be about every thing.

You'd be amazed at what happens when people can't find the answers they need.

So rather than Google, make your own threads for your own problems everyone.

1st off you have no clue what you're talking about politics? Looks like we have a troll!!! It started with the carbon rom port that as far as I can see wasn't successful. Not to knock the dude that was doing I think it cool other people are trying to get involved,but don't blow up my thread about it. I even offered to talk a look at it. Then there was the talk about tethering again in my thread. Still I'm getting mad but I'm thinking to myself this isn't xda I'm not that known here. So I decide to start an off topic and help thread. This is place where you can go and post pic of you in a thong if you want idk. Then I posted in my thread and linked the link to it. Well the tethering guy and I'm sure he didn't mean and harm posted again about tethering right after I posted a link to the off topic thread and asked to keep the rom thread clean. All while I was already pissed and still trying to be civil. So this is the deal I'm gonna open the thread back up later and the links but let's keep the off topic discussions in their place. If someone found a new bug I don't want to read 15 pages back through porting another rom or how to tether your ps3. You want internet on your ps3 stop being cheap and get an internet provider. Well that's how I really feel about it. Oh and read the op please read the op.
