Root let's get this going

believe it or not i just found out that my eu 64bit 510 is runnning an operating system which does not support my 64bit processor :? intresting...

and i quote " HTC Desire 510 is powered by a 64-bit, 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor. It is the first smartphone to be powered by Qualcomm's 64-bit processor. However, with just 1GB RAM, it's unlikely that the phone would benefit from the new processor. Also, Android 4.4 KitKat, the OS the phone currently runs, doesn't support 64-bit processors though the upcoming Android L OS does."

It's a weird situation. HTC wanted to be first I guess. But "L" is the first OS with 64 bit support. They Jumped the gun to be first.

not yet i have found the kernel source on htc dev though and i will be recompiling the kernel today.. i am also going to try to boot a version of the nexus 9 cwm which i have modified.. wish me luck..
Here it is. I am only posting this temp until it is officially supported and Dees_Troy makes his own post. <br /><br />From Fastboot<br /><br />fastboot flash recovery recovery.img<br /><br />A big shoutout to @&lt;a href="http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=711482 for the assistance in getting a hacked together recovery booting so we could dump stock images.<br />This will work all on variants except the 64-bit version. Awesome! Now we can get down and dirty with this phone!

I'm working on trying to get the kernel source code for the cricket GSM variant. Once i have that i can remove write protection, overclock the CPU and GPU. Then update the kernel for lollipop hopefully and get a build of AOSP going

I'm going to pester HTC today about releasing the correct kernel for the sprint/boost/virgin variants so that way we can actually do stuff with our phones.

I just got mine the beginning of Feb 2015. I haven't been over here lately, anything new. Development wise for the 64 bit?
