The problem is I havent unlocked the bootloader and I have no plans in unlocking it till they release the ICS update .
I scourged the XDA . Currently I have the best ROM on my phone ,Stock Rooted . Thats the verdict .Sony is Damn good as far as H/W+S/W combo is concerned .

46 hours+ an I still have 30 p.c battery with Moderate use
They will be providing the S/W of Xperia S to all phones unlike Samsung who is going to release TW 5.0 only for "newer devices "
I may try to modify the ROM but with a difference .Thinking of modular approch to make a ROM so bootloader doesn't have to be affected .
Not sure if want to compile more stuff right now but may be in near future .lets see ...

Ohh ok..I have had no experience with having to unlock the bootloader whatsoever. Would like to self educate if I can find a test device. HTC would be the best choice for that correct or?

yes HTC will be best . SE will be good but there are hassles like lack of real recovery .
HTC,Motorola,SE lock bootloaders
Samsung ,LG,and others dont
Samsung uses cool partition layout which itself acts like a bootloader .i.e without Odin nothing is possible .
HTC,SE allow to unlock at price of warranty .
HTC and Motorola Encrypt Bootloaders
