on a win/linux dual boot machine...what's the best proceedure for wiping the linux partition clean while leaving win alone?

Probably to format the linux partition within windows partition thingy...

Found out what it's called... Disk management

And you either have to search partition in the task bar and something like create/ format partitions should show up or you can right click on copmuter and go to disk management. At least if you are on win7, not sure about earlier versions of windows...
 
may give that a shot. when i loaded Mint originally, i can't remember what i used to create the partition and side load but it was a semi-automagic process. i installed from a usb stick. i'd like to test the reversal on my old machine before i install linux on my new one. yeah, win7.
