So two different peeps have offered two different views on the Jtag guy .One said ,it's fast and better ,(HTC G1 dude ..) ,The other said ,he can brick the phone (HTC Incredible dude) ...

Technically I just need the download mode restored . I will need to contact him .

well ,in any case if I do manage to restre the phone and if baseband Nand is indeed corrupted ,I will need a new phone ..

yeah gbiggie . I found a guy who has Jtag Riff box .Basically it is the holy grail of smartphones .Any device with any brick can be restored to atleast factory edit/download mode with Jtag .however bad the brick is .
He charges 20$ and gives back the phone in an hour .
I am thinking to restore Download mode so at the very least I can use the phone as a media player and market with WiFi .

@iowabowtech
I have a 300K jig and it works only if a download mode exists .
Normally My phone has three download modes ,one ramdump modes, and one recovery

Odin can be used on Download and factory Download mode (USB jig mode)
Emergency Download and Ramdump mode both are redundant as far as flashing is concerned .
Samsung "forgot" to flash the download mode onto my device .

My observations :
Download mode cant be erased without a Jtag type device
They erased download mode so they can force me to shell out 100$ for "new motherboard "
I am reading too many conspiracy theories .

In the end ,I took a chance with Samsung .The only thing I gained is "I cant trust Samsung ".

It probably cost Samsung guys 1000$ .

Since I am no longer buying a Samsung Laptop (specs are good .....) or their next phone .
which makes little difference to them but thats that .

Wow, what an "oversight". Bogus move. As you can tell, I'm getting in late on this situation but assuming you visited with them on the lack of download mode and that was to no avail?

So this phone doesn't have a general purpose bootloader where you can get fastboot access? What's the issue with running the phone right now anyway, won't boot? I'm sure you've tried everything already, I'm just curious now.

@IBT
lol
I bricked my Baseband/IMEI in a flash or randomly (Not sure ).
It was a working device ,just not a working device
I was out of warranty
I gave the phone to Samsung care .
The download mode was working at that time
they "analysed" the device and said after a day that a motherboard replacement is required .
I refused the repair.
They handed me a device which just boots to the start screen without recovery,or download modes

MTD is an Open source Block system thereby ,fastboot can be used .

Samsung uses custom bml Block system so fastboot is out of question .

I can just watch blinking lights now ,

I have lodged a complaint against Samsung but now it is a moot point right now ......
