I can't even look at your desktop until you do that @rootabaga.
While you're peeling, here's a quick shot of my home server desktop. Nothing fancy, since a.) it's a server, and b.) most of the heavy lifting happens from the command line.
I see that @Hadron and I go for the minimalist look. 
Years ago, when KDE first started allowing separate looks per desktop (widgets, wallpaper, etc.), I'd go crazy putting different stuff on each desktop...then got sick of it and decided all I REALLY wanted to see was my wallpaper. *shrug*
I always set my number of desktops to 9, because I like how that makes the cube look. Here's my main desktop, with and without its panel (I normally don't auto-hide it, but did just now for this pic; on KDE, we've been able to do this forever, but for some reason I don't really like it):

I use different wallpapers on different desktops (so I always know where I am), though my default set actually has 13 of them. That backlit image of Pluto is the most minimal of the lot, so seemed an apt one to use to illustrate the point .
My Linux desktops are also pretty minimal: I still hate icons on the desktop, but I usually have a panel visible, perhaps because I only use those with a large monitor so I have less need of the space.
(I've also discovered that MacOS has been able to hide the status bar in at least 1 or two earlier versions. I suspect I tried it a few years back, found it inconvenient and turned it off and forgot about it, though I've been hiding the Mac dock since 2010. With a laptop I don't want to waste that much space permanently, and my eyes are no longer so young that I want to make it teeny-tiny the way I did on my Linux laptops).

My computer at work is a plain blue screen with icons. Hardly ever use my home PC.
The screen saver at home is Hubble Telescope images.

Oh, I do have widgets on my Android home screens: clocks, calendar, train timetable. I haven't changed my wallpaper in 10(?) years! I use AniPet Koi live wallpaper (paid) and love it so much I never even try anything new! EDIT: I had a major brain fart here!

Why XFCE? I mean, is it an older computer, or do you just prefer a lighter DE?Who says XFCE can't be as sexy as the bigger DEs.
Its icons look very GNOME-ish!

If I were to switch (big if), it's between Ubuntu Budgie or Kubuntu. Budgie has really got my attention though.

I change my wall paper twice or three times a week, since my desktop I do not see as much, and figures who the heck plays with it right ?

As everyone here knows, I'm passionately in love with KDE
, and settled on Kubuntu as my default OS in 2005. So, naturally, I'd urge you to give it a whirl.As I've noted before, the very thing I like most about it--its highly customizable interface--can be overwhelming to some. One can literally spend days doing nothing but tweaking it. But you can do a little at a time, instead of one marathon session!
There's a screenshot in the Linux thread showing my pretty icons.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all about functionality, stability, security, etc., under the hood, but I like my UI to be really pretty.

Nice!I made some new changes...
My usual Arc-Dark theme with some mods I did to it.
Frosted glass status and launcher bars.
Switched to Flat-Remix-Dark icon pack.
The wallpaper I made myself in Adobe Illustrator.
Needless to say, this is xubuntu 18.04.2
I know this thread is for our computers' desktops, but since mine look pretty much like they did 7 years ago, I won't bother with them.
But! I recently did a long overdue task--upgraded to Kubuntu 19.10. So I've been playing with its look and feel, and these are shots of login and boot-up splash screens I've been trying out.
These are a few login screens I've downloaded; I'm currently using the one in the preview:

The one I'm using right now; I love looking at it while the laptop's booting up:
I must say a lot has changed since my ancient 14.04! I've had to learn about new files, things that no longer exist and what took their place, etc., but it's been fun. I'm nowhere CLOSE to being done customizing the laptop--but it's only been a month!

I'm still using that beach cave thing on my computer but I use my Phone more.

I'm still using my phone more, too, but not by choice. As my recuperating continues and I get stronger, I'm increasing my time sitting up at my main laptop; that's about 30% of the time--right now.
Funny how the board's name is Computers.
OT: You just need a big enough blender.
