Let's talk cases for the HTC EVO 3D.

Yea that pouch is about a year old. It has held up REAL good. No chipping. No rubbing off of material. Nice and soft....but sturdy enough to make it easy to slip in and out of your pocket.

I hope they make another one exactly like it for the EVO 3D.

EDIT: Via HTCPedia, the vertical leather pouch case they advertise for the Evo3D is THE SAME case as for the Evo4G. So if you already have this case for your 4G, then it won't be any different. Also as was indicated, since the 3D is slightly taller it won't be fully protected by this case. Hopefully they release one specific for the 3D soon.

I just bought this suede pouch from ebay. It came with 2 pouches for $4 shipped. The seller is from Hong Kong. Stitching looks pretty good from the pics., figured I would test them out at 2 bucks each. I got to keep my Evo 3D safe!

The Ballistic cases look nice. Does anyone know how big of a difference there is between the HC and SG? Is it worth it to spend another $15 for the HC?
The HC has a built in screen protector? I wonder what that looks like. Anyone have experience with that case?

Have you tried PhantomSkinz?

IMHO they're the best. I have used InvisibleShield / Zagg, BSE, etc etc., nothing is as good as PhantomSkinz - form, fit, finish, lack of orange peel. The screen feels naked even with the PhantomSkinz protector on it.

PhantomSkinz interferes the least with the smooth touchscreens, visually and physically. A 3D phone should have the smoothest / best screen protector, imho.


I'd advise going to a Fry's Electronics and or a mobile kiosk at the mall, and see if any generic large leather cases will fit.

Such is the pitfall of being an early adopter - not being able to get accessories right away.

Checked PhantomSkinz site they have screen protector and clear skin for only back camera. it says because texture of battery cover no full clear skin available. But called them and their chromatics is done and available, just not up on the site yet, he said she be up on site tomorrow!

Get creative and make your own pouch using a MF towel? That can work if you know anyone with good sewing skills.

I went with the otterbox commuter today.
My only complaint with the case so far is the 2D/3D switch is a little tough to toggle unless I use 2 hands.

My temporary solution from Best Buy. I need a holster too so I'll be getting something else, but I have to have a case so I don't have to baby this thing.
This is made by Pt(Platinum) which some say is also Seido.....

The stand is appreciated, but no where near the sturdiness of the EVO 4G stand.

It has a kickstand? How much was it? What should I ask for in Best Buy? I haven't seen that one yet. If they have them in stock I want it right now, lol.

Best buy should sell them they are up on their website also, they are the platinum series that they have that are similar to sedio. Check radio shack too. They are carrying the Otterbox cases

The screen on the dust/lint?
I can't keep the screen clean for the life of me...i'll clean it really well and put the screen cover on it tomorrow probably.
The dust/lint stick to it because of the case being fresh rubber...my old one did the same thing for a bit and then they no longer stuck.

Mine looks like that also.

I didn't realize how much my ghost armor helped with finger prints on my Evo until now.

Anyone know if that "cover" comes off where the camera button is at? I still really like HTC's kickstand case, but I dislike how it doesn't completely cover the bottom (and top?):
