Root lg 4g connect problem

i have version 2.3.6 android, will updating it mess up anything?

They're all the same version android. They're different software revisions of the LG Source. That's all.

As long as you follow the steps that are in the ATR thread then you won't have an issue; but as it clearly states for implicit purposes if something DOES mess up, it's not due to the steps, as they're flawless.

I'm still working on adding more roms, and tools to that thread, and eventually it'll be a monster thread with tools, and roms to do pretty much anything to/with stock.

so can i install any of the roms from http://androidforums.com/connect-4g...ck-apps-stripper-application.html#post4487942 this link?

indeed you can.
Just follow the instructions, and you'll have no problems.

NOTE* Some users have reported that SW Version - in the phones settings/about phone menu - doesn't change; but it does on my phone.
Either way I DO know that these work as I test each one before I put them up (hence the delay - that and the fact that I debloat, strip, and unroot all of them myself, and for some have to reinstall, test, and reconfigure the stock apps, so yeah :P
Takes a while sometimes; but in the end, it'll definitely be worth it.
