So I'd been having trouble with my voice dropping out in the middle of phone calls ever since I got my LG g3 so I decided since today was day 89 of 90 on my costco exchange period to swap out the phone, even though most likely it has something to do with verizon's service and not the phone.
I didn't have much on the phone so I just attempted to use the LG backup and restore utility to backup to a microsd card.
I popped the old simcard and old microsd card in, and the phone went to work, updating apps, pulling the 2 OS/system updates, and then when that finished I did the backup from the sdcard.
Well it seems the backup didn't work quite perfectly. The first time I attempted to restore it every category worked fine except, downloaded apps which said failed. Than I tried again, and this time every category worked except for the personal info one(the first one).
So far it seems all my data transferred, but there are problems such as....
So has anyone had any luck with this (or their own problems?)? or have any suggestions on how to fix it?
In good news, the phandroid app transferred my starred articles over so I didn't miss a beat!
Also in case anyone was wondering verizon added 2 new pieces of bloatware, Cookie jam and Panda Pop(although these may have replaced the farm heroes saga and king's empire games, because my backup may have restored them from my old phone)

- my homescreens didn't get remembered by lg or google, so I have to manually start recreating them.
- my wallpaper is oddly the last wallpaper I used, not the most recent one, even though I made the backup moments before I got to the store.
- Some settings transferred and some didn't,
- (my keyboard dictionary transferred, but the settings went back to default)
- gps settings got erased
- my knock codes/pins got erased
- my guest mode setup got erased
- Waze wouldn't open and just force closed instantly, had to uninstall and reinstall
- Google Now had to be reprogrammed
- I think a lot of problems are the result of verizon resetting the defaults on things such as...
- google wallet having to be setup again/disabling softcard/isis default
- lost text messages because verizon's stupid messenger+ decided to be default, but didn't actually receive my texts since I hadn't agreed to their terms.
So has anyone had any luck with this (or their own problems?)? or have any suggestions on how to fix it?
