Root [LG connect 4G] How much and what it offers

Don't change the subject. We're trying to nail down the specs and someone from Metro says 1.3 megapixels while official LG says 0.3. So, WHICH IS IT? Somebody is giving incorrect info.

We are not discussing how the front camera is used. That is up to the user.

Has this phone been rooted yet? Just wondering why is this topic in All things ROOT when the phone has not even been released yet? Yeah, on Jan. 9 Metro PROMISED it would be released by Feb 9, but that date has long passed.

Final word. The front camera is VGA. It was originally going to be 1.3. Due to CPU/ram upgrades lowering the ff camera kept the cost low. There's the final say on the ff camera lol.

Sorry metro but you just got $300 of my hard earned cash for the esteem...I think I will wait till a phone with ics, a 8mp camera with led flash,2mp front camera and at least a 2ghz dual core processor comes out. Anything less will not get a red cent more.out of me.

I'm with you man! Till a ICS phone comes to metro, I have no need to upgrade right now. I'm happy with my Esteem! ;)

And a ohone comung with these specs are going to be a lot more than any $330 phone. A 2MP FFC with an 8MP RFC and a 2.0GHz DC LoL heck they are coming out with a DC 1.2 with a 5MP RFC and. 3MP FFC and still want over $300 for it LoL that kind of phone wouldnt come for at least another year at around a $300 price range.

Considering our phone(esteem) was rated at 1Ghz and now we are able to achieve atleast 2.1Ghz I would say that the connect could easily get there. Plus I wouldn't hold your breath on metro's phones having a phone with ICS for a while.

Well, since we already have a confirmed ICS device scheduled for April-July LoL

Honestly to me the only big deal about the connect is the display and the dual core processor...Perfect upgrade for anyone who owns older android devices from metro. For me to be honest, the esteem does everything I need, I dont really consider the connect a "upgrade".

Where does it say that? metro claims to having upcoming devices and there seems to be some type of trend that keeps them from following through. A link if you have one

Well, stock possibly and definitely has the potential since it WILL have a GHz SC process, but will have a smaller screen. BUT it's HTC and I'd be willing to bet it will SCREAM once they overclock stock because of that BEAST Sense UI(Greatest Flavor Of Android On The Planet IMO)

Only problem is that it is confirmed for 3G with no FFC! How can you have an ICS phone, 1GHz process with 512MB RAM, and Sense UI(Especially Made By HTC) coming to a prepaid carrier with those specs without it being 4G OR coming with a FFC!? LoL
