Root LG Connect Download mode for soft brick fix.

So today I went to sell my Connect and went into the privacy settings to do a factory reset (not thinking of going into cwm to do it) and I then get stuck in the bootloop with cwm. Sucked. Thanks to you guys, I came home and was able to do the soft brick fix as you described which worked well and I'm back to unrooted and stock. (though it is horrible and riddled with the metro apps as usual).
Anyways, this is just a post to say thank you and that I'm only selling my phone temporarily and getting another connect soon.

Use my stripper that's in the All things root section.
It'll remove damn near anything on that phone :P
Whatever you decide you want you can just re-download either from the stock apps archive on my ROM List thread, or via metro apps tore, or google play store :D

Grats on the fixed phone.

LG Connect 4G Unbrick Method that is linked WORKS. I tested as of today 08/17/2012. Takes you back to stock. Unrooted, etc. Just like an RUU would for any other phone.
 
HELP have a lg us740 and the directions for download mode is not working that anyone know how to put it in download mode??????????????
 
Brother I am in a great mess here and i don't know what to do, can't find any solution and tried almost everything out there. Please help me pleasssssse.
I have a mobile of LG f160k, which is by the way booting with the message secure booting error, cause device is unlocked, booting success and then boots into recovery directly. which is CWM, whatever i do the phone does the same thing,
ok now when i put the phone into download mode to flash it with the lg flasher tool with the kdz firmware, the P.C doesn't even feel that something attached to it, not even a single sound of ta'dun. After that, when i tried to update the firmware using lg mobile support tool by the recovery upgrade, using my IMEI the tool does the same thing as there is nothing attached to it, it also doesn't feel my device,
I am in a brick of attempting a suicide that my mobile is booting going in recovery, also going in download mode, and the pc doesn't feel a thing!! please help me, I have also tried to install various custom firmwares and they installed with the complete succsess but then my device do the same thing, boots with the secure booting error and then flee to recovery, every custom firmware has its own recovery, and the phone doesn't change the firmware but every time the recovery does change. I don't know what to do?? please help me or just tell me if should throw my device somewhere so I could stop torturing my self..
as far i knew that if I can go to recovery or put my device in download mode i can unbrick my device but I think i am out of options here. please help!!
