Help Lg Connect Keyboard?

So my battery only lasts about 3-4hours and I checked what was using it up and it was the keyboard. I downloaded another keyboard but it was still using the battery.

So my question is, does anybody elses Lg connect do this? If so what fix did you use? (Like new keyboard etc.) How long does your Lg connect last with that keyboard?

That used to be the first thing on my list of battery usage usually like 70% i downloaded the gingerbread key board and now my phone lasts longer and keyboard usage is real low
 
The Gingerbread one is the way to go. If you look through this board you will find multiple threads on this very topic.
 
I love Swype and gave in this past week and have been using it. Honestly the battery life was not greatly effected by it but it shows up under battery usage as like 60%. I think out might be just a software issue.

I don't know about Swype, but it is definitely not just a flaw when using the Swiftkey keyboards or the FlexT9 one. I did some testing by rebooting and then switching to those keyboards. I waited thirty minutes and compared the results to a control run leaving the Gingerbread one on. Those other keyboards drained the battery more than twice as fast. You might want to test Swype.
