How come in the app SetCPU under "info" then under "CPU" it says "processor: 1" shouldn't it say 2 since it's a dual core processor or am I mistaken?

Exactly!Actually its pretty accurate. There is only 1 processor on the phone. That processor has 2 cores![]()
No where have you read anything about any phone having two processors! It has one processor with two cores. Just like a computer with a dual core processor, when you look at the motherboard you aren't going to see two chip sets.I just said that but in a condensed manner lolAnytime that a processor has multiple cores (as long as they're TRUE CORES - not just logical cores, but physical ones) the Main core will be listed as Core 0, and the Second as Core 1, third as Core 2, etc.
I'm not sure what resources this poor individual read that permitted them to believe that a phones tiny housing unit, and pcb could possibly handle the stress, heat, or size needed to place two physical processing units, but that won't happen in phones.
It MAY happen in tablets somewhere near the 15nm technology era, but I doubt it because even then the silicone just wouldn't be stable at the temps that the tablet/phone would reach.
It's a dual core phone with two physical processing core units within one single processing unit.
In other words 1 processor, two brains.
I just said that but in a condensed manner lol
