Root LG Esteem internal memory

I know this has probably been asked before, but my internal memory is full,of what i do not know, I am trying to do a backup of my rom,and cannot. I know this is basic, but how do I find out what is on my internal memory, and move it. I have a 16gb external card and have no idea how to move things to that. I need to be helped in baby steps LOL
I laso keep getting the message touchpal sd card is ejected, what does that mean??

Someone recently re flashed their ROM and the "full" warning went away.
 
Do you mean re-flash the rom I already have? I was going to go to the latest Ldrifta rom v2.3, and I wanted to back up the rom I have. told you I need baby steps !!
 
Well go through you internal memory and delete all that you . Don't need.. then go to your computer move things to you external memory but don't move any data that needs to stay on the internal..
 
ive discovered my own solution delete any old odex file in data/app meaning if u no longer have a particular app installed anymore but u still see a odex file left behind that will prevent you from installing apps especially a new version of that app

Yes re flash your current ROM or another ROM.

I'm assuming your getting the message but you have free space right?
 
I am one of those people who are afraid of doing anything, I need someone who can tell me what to do in very simple english. I need to free up memory,but am afraid I will brick my phone.
