Root Lg Esteem SD Card help

I was trying to find a file using es file explorer and when I checked my external sd and most of my files have been erased. They were there this morning and I haven't even used my my phone. I don't know what happened. Can someone please help me restore my files? They are very important. I have a mac btw so I can't use most memory recovery programs.

I know a given but cards to do fail. Not sure how old yours is. Have you tried putting it in your MAC and seeing if anything is there

They are gone man Maybe there is a specialized place by you that can check another way to see if anything is recoverable on the SD but don't know

Happened to me and found them a month later lol. They ended up moving to another folder. Odd I know. Do you have any files at all?

off topic i have the same problem but only tht my phone it says scanning media from sd has an error any help with tht plz.

It left my music and downloads alone but all my other stuff is gone. My pics and everything.
