Help LG Esteme update problem

xMsPiex

Lurker
my phone keeps rebooting so I have downloaded the usb driver along with the mobile support tool from the lg website. when i try to run the mobile tool program i get a message saying
"please check your internet line and execute program again"
what can i do to get the program to work?

Welcome to AF mspiex make sure your phone is in internet connection then try it again;)

LG update tool does not need USB debugging to be on. Try in Internet Connection mode without USB debugging.

Is your internet access is functional when you are trying to run the update tool? Do you have some type of firewall that might block the tool from accessing the internet?

remember everytime you unplug your phone and the default settings are not internet connections, you have to pull down your notification bar and tap internet connection mode and tap done.

I have tried everything you guys have suggested and still no luck =(
I'm forever doomed to have a slow restarting phone =_(

Glad you got it working but don't see you it shouldn't work on 64 bit.

The are probably some security settings on your computer preventing it from working or something else with the software; I updated mine on a 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate machine. I am glad that you got it working, and we were of some help. :D

i dont see why it didnt work on my computer. it says on the lg website it supports windows xp, vista, and win7 and even after giving it the permission needed and making sure that it was allowed to access the internet it still didnt work. it will bug me until i figure out exactly why it didn't work =/.
thank you everyone!

I updated mine on 64-bit Windows 7 with no issues. The driver the tool gives you is the wrong one.

This is the correct driver pack iirc.
