Help LG G2 Not Turning On. Help!!

Hot Hands

Newbie
So when i got home from work, my phone was at 24% so i charge it till it was 100%. I unplug it and than I was watching a few youtube videos than suddenly it frozen. I didn't know what to do so i hold down on to the power button to turn it off. Than i tried to turn it back on, it wont turn on. I searched on google and pretty much read every forums out there. Every one had said that it is bricked that i had to get it in download mode and install a new rom. NOTE: my phone is not rooted. So I tried to go into download mode and recovery mode which both doesn't work. The screen stays black. I do not have warranty on it. I have tried every button combinations but still won't turn on. Any solutions to this?

Ok, install the Qualcomm driver as mentioned above. (i snuck in an edit with a link, you may have missed it). Then after installed, let us know how its showing up in device manager. That driver being installed should give us some additional info. Specifically we'll be looking for a number code along with that. Like 9006, 9008, etc.

I'm sorry I don't know which folder do i go to. I download the file and extracted it on to my desktop but I don't know how to install it.

Go to the qhsusb_bulk device in device manager and right click, update driver. Choose option to provide your own driver (or similar wording) and navigate to the ENTIRE folder of drivers you just extracted to the desktop as your target. Windows will apply the correct one(s) from within accordingly. You don't need to select a specific file.

Can't press onto update driver. It's like whited out

Maybe try unplugging and replugging, then recheck the option. Otherwise, there's probably a .exe version of the Qualcomm usb driver package somewhere out there. I just couldn't find it in a quick search.

Okay it works, now I'm waiting for the installing to be done. Do you know how long it takes?

Shouldn't take very long at all for a driver install. Once done you may or may not have to unplug/replug device one more time. What you'll hopefully see is more information in device manager regarding the device. It should be more descriptive...let us know how it recognizes the device at that time.

After trying to install it, it took several minutes and than this pop up
But it change the name to COM4 instead of QHSUSB_BULK

Ok, I've run into the same thing before. We at least know now you're in QDLoader 9008 which is what I expected would be the case. So we need to find alternate drivers for QDLoader 9008. I think I might have used these:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/3hovx8h7nauy7e6/Qcomm_Drivers.zip?dl=0

So again, it'd be the right click, update driver routine as before. Will it let you do that and select the above folder of drivers once you unzip them?

If that still doesn't work, don't be afraid to reboot the pc with the phone still hooked up the whole time. The QDLoader 9008 drivers might apply upon reboot with some luck if they live on your machine in particular. Once you get positive identification of that mode, we can move forward to fix the phone.

edit:
yet another thing you can try is to change com port on the device. right click > properties > port settings > advanced. And switch to com41. This phone likes to communicate on that port setting.

Follow the picture instructions here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/fix-unbrick-lg-g2-stuck-qualcomm-hs-usb-t2933830

However don't use the board diag tool posted there. Instead use this one:
https://mega.co.nz/#!pZQyXbAD!960ZDwH36ZwqY2C7CoiDdfgxCRodU2VPFMaAGkobtCc

Use the .exe inside 3.99c variant 2.

You'll also need a d801 tot:
http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G2/D801BK/Stock_Firmware

The tot is the 3rd item in that list (the zip. unzip it to reveal the tot)
May as well download the dll from there also which is the last item in list. You won't use that until later but you'll need it eventually.

So that should get you started for the boardiag portion of your unbrick effort. When done with that, you won't likely have a booting phone, but you will have a working download mode. So then you can proceed to flash stock via instructs here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476

Ignore the first half of the OP and focus on the 2nd half dealing with LG Flash tools and a tot. You already have the tot and dll from above. Those are you 2 target files to use in LG Flash tools to flash stock. Read all the instructs on that carefully. Ask if questions along the way. I'm going to be leaving for the evening but will check back in when possible. This is going to be a bit of work but you can fix this one most likely.

Yeah just follow the whole thing. The difference is you are using the software I provided vs the one he posted. The software itself will look identical. All the pics should still apply. The difference being the board diag software posted in that thread does not work. The software I gave you does work.
